i-BEC at the International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment 2015
i-BEC and si-Cluster, co-sponsored the third «International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment», which was held at King Evelthon Beach Hotel in Paphos Cyprus on 16-19 March 2015 with a joint stand to network with leading experts in the field of Remote Sensing and Geo-informatics from Greece, Cyprus and Internationally.
The Scientific Coordinator of i-BEC Prof Zalidis took part in a Round table discussion entitled The Future of Remote Sensing for Sustained Earth Observation, together with GEO’s General Secretary Dr Barbara Ryan and Dr Gunter Schreier from DLR along with Dr Pantelis Michalis (Colonel (G) ret. from the Center for Security Studies (ΚΕΜΕΑ), Prof Sila Michaelidis, Director of Cyprus Meteorological Service & Cyprus GEO Principal and Prof Diofantos Hajimitsis Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics from the Cyprus University of Technology and Dr Kyriakos Themistocleous from the Cyprus Remote Sensing Society that organized the Conference.
i-BEC also participated in the conference with a research paper and presentation entitled Development of a UAV system for VNIR-TIR acquisitions in precision agriculture.
