Joint framework for the provision of standardized services to Geotechnical engineers for (e)training on natural risks – civil protection and for promoting access to the labour market
Different types of disasters as floods, pollution, fires and erosion occur in transboundary terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Their protection, management and restoration requires crossborder joint actions. Geotechnicians of the crossborder area need to have high skills and expertise for taking immediate action before, during and after disasters. Skills required to prevent, manage and confront these disasters must be qualified up to specific high standards for Geotechnicians across borders. Additionally, it becomes a necessity to be able to identify qualified professionals based on accredited skills acquired through training and to create infrastructures for enabling match making between accredited qualifications of Geotechnical professionals across borders and Job supply. This will promote the mobility of Geotechnicians and their access to the Open Market.
The proposed project aims at:
upgrading the level of Qualifications of Geotechnicians of the two countries in relation to the prevention, management and confrontation of natural disasters, using traditional training methods as well as innovative tools (e-learning, Web-technologies),
providing joint-standardized training services that support the mobility of Geotechnicians between the two countries and their access to the Open Market,
creating a single base and ICT infrastructures for the matching between the Job Supply and Demand.
